Please note that this Friday, 23rd July, is the last day of the summer term. The children will be leaving at 1.30pm on Friday. Gates will be opened at 1.25pm for parents to collect their children. We hope you all have a lovely summer break.

Term 6 - Amazing Animals

Welcome to the Summer Term! This term, our topic is 'Amazing Animals'. We will be using the story of Meerkat Mail as a basis for all our work. Our Maths will focus on Fractions, Measures, Time and Shape and Space this term. As always if you have any questions about your child's learning please email the class teacher using the class email address in the contact us section or at the bottom of the page.

Year 2 Team

Term 5 - Marvelous Magic

This term our topic will be marvelous magic.  We will be learning the story 'Winnie the witch' in a talk4writing style with all our writing activities being based around this story.  In maths, we will spend the first week finding the difference before moving on to multiplication and division for the rest of the term.  Geography will be focused on 'Where is Winnie?' and we will learn geographical features of where Winnie is.  Science will focus on plants.  We will be growing them, thinking about what is inside a seed and dissecting a flower to find all it's parts.  We will be looking at different types of family in PSHE and colour mixing in art.
