  • Computing visit to the Library

Mon 16 Oct 2023 Mrs Daubney

This term, Year 2 have been exploring how we use technology in the real world. We have explored how it is used in school and then discussed the real world. We were lucky enough to visit the Junior School Library which uses a scanning and barcode system. This system allows children to scan out books and it can track who has which book. The children were able to use the scanner to practise scanning books and we discussed why this is useful technology. The children had a wonderful time!

  • Phonics and Reading Stay and Play

Mon 16 Oct 2023 Mrs Daubney

On Friday 13th October, Clarendon Infants parents came to join us for a stay and play! The session began with a short talk from Mrs Daubney (our KS1 Phase Lead and English Lead) who explained what Phonics is and how you can support your child’s reading. All the parents were then given the opportunity to go to their child’s classroom and explore different activities linked to Phonics and Reading.

This was a brilliant event and it was wonderful to see so many parents join in! We are looking forward to the next one!
