Thank you so much for your kind donations of food for our harvest festival today. As you can see from the food all boxed up and ready to go to Salisbury foodbank - we have amassed a super collection of tins, packets and jars. We are very grateful for your generosity and are pleased we are able to help and support those in our community who are in need during these difficult times. Thank you.
On the 6th October, it was National Poetry Day. This year, the children celebrated by creating their own poems about Autumn. These poems were written using their 5 senses and talked about key parts of Autumn. The children wrote these poems for the Poetry Stars National Competition and these have been entered! Below, there are some of the poems which have been written for the competition - enjoy!
Also, to celebrate the day, each class chose a poem to focus on. The classes completed different activities linked to this poem and then finally they made their own door display. This door display reflects the poem they have looked at so other children can also enjoy it. The children had a brilliant day and enjoyed celebrating poetry!
