Wiltshire Year of Reading

Wiltshire Year of Reading

We are incredibly excited to announce that we will be joining in Wiltshire's Year of Reading! This is a county wide campaign to inspire a love of reading involving schools, libraries and communities. Throughout the year, we will be developing children's attitudes to reading through different activities. We are passionate in developing children’s love of reading. Within the campaign, there are three reading awards (Bronze, Silver and Gold) which schools can work towards. These awards help us demonstrate our love and dedication to reading.

Below, there is some information you can explore to find out more about Wiltshire's Year of Reading. There is also a link below to The Family and Community Learning Team which provides learning for families and the wider community. They have a range of courses available to help support your reading and develop new skills to support your child. They also have other courses which you may find useful.

Wiltshire Year of Reading Resources

Wiltshire Library

In Tidworth, we are incredibly lucky to have a local library to explore new books. There are also libraries near Tidworth in: Ludgershall, Amesbury and Salisbury. You are able to use your Wiltshire library membership to access all of these. It is free to join and has a specific section for children's books. If you are not a member of the library already, please follow the link below. It will provide you with more information about how you can join.
