Pupil Premium and other Grants - Information and Reporting

The current information documents for 2020-2021 details how pupil premium and service pupil premium is used at Clarendon Infants and the total grant received can be found below.

Pupil Premium Strategy 2020 - 2021

AFET (Armed Forces Education Trust)

We are very grateful to the Armed Forces Education Trust for providing us with a grant to fund an ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant) to work with the children in our school community. This enables us to support the children's emotional wellbeing, develop their confidence,  resilience and self esteem and helps them develop positive attitudes to school life and learning.

CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) CATCH UP PREMIUM

How do we intend to spend the grant?
We are intending to use our Covid-19 catch up premium on small group and 1:1 targeted support for identified children.  This will be implemented by teachers and teaching assistants.

How will the effect of this expenditure on the educational attainment of those pupils at the school be assessed?
Baseline assessments will allow us to identify gaps in learning and to devise individual catch-up programmes.  Ongoing assessment will be undertaken to measure progress towards meeting the individual targets set and standardised assessments will also be used at key assessment points in the year to measure the effectiveness of the interventions.
