This week saw amazing experiments and scientific discoveries happening all around the school. These included exploring the best designs for paper aeroplanes and the most effective materials for creating waterproof roofs for Lego houses. On Tuesday a team of students from Wellington Academy came to run a series of perfectly-pitched activities with our Year 2 children, enthusing and inspiring us with their knowledge and passion for science. With their help, we explored which type of plastic bag was the best for carrying heavy shopping, which objects would float and which would sink, and which materials would complete a circuit to light a bulb.
Our thanks go to the team from Wellington Academy and their teachers, and also to Lidl Tidworth for their kind donation of materials. Thanks also to our science leader Mrs Hill for her hard work in organising the week and her fabulous assemblies!
